Karnataka government canceled all intermediate exams college and university in view of the growing COVID-19 cases in the state. According to media reports, Karnataka take exams after graduation, after graduation only for students last semester. all intermediate semester students will be promoted except for medical students.

All intermediate semester students earn a degree (BA, BSc, BCom, etc.), post-graduation courses (MA, MSc., Etc.) including engineering and diploma courses will be promoted without examination. However, no relief will be extended to students last semester. Exams for seniors will be held before the end of 
November 17 2020, according to the guidelines of the University Grants Commissions (UGC). Governor of Karnataka has also approved the decision.
